Sunday in Brooklyn with OHS, T & N

19th Century cooking at the Old Stone House. The event was MCed (master of cooking-ed) by the Four Pounds Flour blogger Sarah, who is wielding the bellows and spatula on the right.
I'd already sampled the apple pancakes (pretty scrumptious) when I got this photo of the next batch, which may have been pumpkin cornmeal. Observing, I heard a booming voice "I noticed you just ate some of those pancakes," so I turned around and was interviewed by Japanese public TV. Just another Sunday in Brooklyn...
From there we went out to Floyd Bennett Field.
And walked through the sleepy but full-of potential community garden plots, which are wonderfully idiosyncratic.
