Open these to enjoy them more.
Snow geese, tens of thousands of them, come to Chincoteague NWR in the late fall and winter. They are loud! Sometimes they get spooked by bald eagles, who make them rise up en-mass, to the joy of the photogs lined up to catch the sight, which is spectacular, a blizzard of birds swirling into the air. They also move from fallow fields, where they eat, to the water at dawn and twilight.
Here we have waves upon waves of them in the distance.
