Birthday Girl

My dad recently found this portrait of my late mother. She was born on this day in 1927 in Oklahoma. This picture, which none of us remember ever having seen before, must be from the mid to late 1940s. By then, the farm had failed and her parents had pulled up stakes and retreated to Illinois, where they had started out from.
