Today

The black locusts were in bloom at Shippan Point. Wanton seeds flurried everywhere, but mostly over the water of the channel, where currents formed it into long lines, like calligraphic brushstrokes. A pair of Canada geese went by, with an accompanying flotilla of 15 goslings. Sibley says 3-8 eggs per clutch, so do they adopt?
