out boating!

Up to Croton Point and Haverstraw Bay this evening with the Captain. First outing this season; I got to steer back down from Tarrytown, where we had dinner. O, mighty Hudson! The purple majesty of the Palisades was nicely complimented by all the princess/paulownia trees in bloom at their feet. The trees rush in where angels fear to tread after rockslides sweep away the competition. The beautiful sloop Clearwater was at Alpine boatbasin, beckoning us.
