Scheduling

What a good time to have a kid in NYC. On Saturday, the American Museum of Natural History is having one of its “identify this” open-houses. You bring your bugs, rocks, bones, etc. and have the pros tell you what it is. Sprats have all the fun. Meanwhile, at the tip of the Inner Borough in the Battery Maritime Bldg, David Byrne’s “Playing the Building” promises to raise the spirits of any junior keyboard banger. Admittedly, tonight’s Carlos Fuentes lecture on the “bicentennial of Latin American independences” might be a bit much, but Celine and Julie Go Boating, at BAMCinematek next week? Definitely. Or maybe the Atlantic Avenue Art walk? The Flatbush Artists Studio Tour? Marga Gomez? Helping out at Added Value Farm?
