The High Bridge

Two views of the High Bridge, built in 1848 to connect the Old Croton Aqueduct to the city. It was the longest bridge in the US at that time. Bottom pic is shot through the Alexander Hamilton Bridge, built in 1963, making it as old as me, from the New Croton Aqueduct Overlook. Built to show off the engineering marvel of the Aqueduct, the Overlook is now in need of serious repair.
