Actually, we don't want it fixed

Somebody removed the metal plate from this street thing recently because every car that goes over it, and that's most cars going down our one way street, makes a god-awful KA-CHUNK --front and back tire --that I can hear in the back of the building in summer when the windows are open. It was a much worse sound for the front-facing residents, on both sides of the street.
