TLCed

The quid has been pro-ed. David Yassky, a relatively smart, “progressive” Councilperson representing a largely bourgeois Brooklyn neighborhood, surprised a few people when he supported Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s end-run around term limits. The shiny lure of Mikey Dollars’ enlightened plutocracy was just too great, I guess. After that betrayal of democracy, Yassky unsuccessfully (even with Bloomberg’s endorsement) ran for city Comptroller. Today, he was appointed head of the Taxi and Limousine Commission.

"Nice work if you can get it -- and you can get it -- if you try!"
