C. lubrica has a respectable internet presence because they are one of the snail hosts to a liver fluke parasite that cycles through them, then ants (which it turns into zombies; I am not making this up), who pick it up from snail slime, and then ruminants, who eat the suicidal ants who are shoots of grass. Freaky.
