Sweet for the sweet

Six egg yokes beaten with 1/3 cup sugar.
Mixed with 8 oz bittersweet and semisweet chocolate (melted with 4tbs butter, flavored with 1 tbs Solerno, 1/2 tsp vanilla, and 1/8 tsp salt)
Eight egg whites beaten to moist stiff peaks, with 1/2 tps cream of tartar (saucy pony-riding raiders from the east).
The Cook's Illustrated chocolate souffle. Intense!

No flour, no milk, the "base" is sugar and yokes. (The "base"? That would make the egg whites the superstructure, no? Is this a Marxist recipe?)

I just made a black sapote cake. They're these odd little green persimmon-like tropical fruits known as the chocolate-pudding fruit. Intense, but not this intense!

But probably a lot less hand-beating.
