Ice

Water is one of the few things that expands when it gets cold.

Update: Ice-nymph/Canadian Seabrook Leckie explains it all for you here.

I've been called many things, but I think that's the first time I've been called an Ice Nymph. :)

Did you set this up or did it happen by chance? It's such a neat phenomenon! The only time I've seen it was when I made that post a couple of years ago.

Having lived in Toronto and Calgary as a kid, I love Canadians!

This was a random thing. I had two emerge the next day, each but since then nothing. And I dimly remember seeing one or two in the past, but not doing anything about it. This time I tried a number of different searches on Google, and finally found a page that explained it all, and wasn't I surprised it was by somebody I now read regularly?
