BBG & PP

The Brooklyn Botanic Garden is free before noon on Saturdays. This is in the Eastern Parkway subway station, which exits facing the Brooklyn Museum.
Inside the BBG, I found a couple of squirrels keeping an eye on me.
Insert haiku here.
Before heading into Prospect Park, where this bronze eagle is to be found flanking the Lincoln statue, I saw a red-tail hawk and osprey circling each other. Then, like Mighty Mouse to the rescue, a kestrel zoomed into the picture, chasing off the osprey.
Doughboy and Death in Prospect Park. Not at all that kind of day, but this is still a haunting statue.
