Not exactly sure what this event is, artists’ press releases being such thickets of b.s., but the cause looks good: protesting the artificial turfing of Calvert Vaux (nee Dreier Offerman) Park. It's this Saturday, which happens to be the 113th anniversary of the finding of Vaux’s body, washed up on the Gravesend Bay shore. The man wasn't into no stinking Astroturf.
