Natural Architecture

I found this turtle shell in Prospect Park. I think it was a red-eared slider. 7.5 inches long. Cleaned it up with hydrogen peroxide and an old toothbrush. Dorsal view, the carapace.

You really captured some beautiful vaulting in there. Enough to make me shut up for a while.

It's good to contemplate vaulting, flying arches, spines, the small of the back.
