This is Duke Riley’s submarine, the one he tried to… well, judging from his large drawings, he looks like he was trying to board the Queen Mary II and talk like a pirate, matey. I wonder if those will be used as evidence? There aren’t that many things at the exhibit After the Battle of Brooklyn, but they are choice. Some dirty scrimshaw, a mosaic that actually makes that floating motel that is the QMII look good, a fauxumentary, and two large heavily detailed sheets that combine scrimshaw and blackline tattoo styles to wonderful effect. I like this work. It's very satisfying, especially since we had to walk along 23rd Street and see so much bad art through the windows.
