Ouch

Stung by a bee today on a roof in Ft. Green. Yee-ow! On the top of the right ear, that wingy cartilage bit. As far as I can recall, this was the first time I’ve ever been stung. Mosquitoes, now they’re another story: those bloodthirsty ghouls wait for me to walk out of the house.

Anyway, one of J.’s hives is rather rambunctious. Lately, they’ve been gathering en masse outside the hive. Is it too hot for them? Are they overcrowded? Are they just tough-assed Brooklynites hanging out on what is essentially their stoop? Here are some of ornery ladies. Don't mess with them...
