I made this for my friend C’s 40th birthday. It’s an Illustrated Poem, in this case e.e. cummings’ “Portrait” (Buffalo Bill’s/defunct…). It’s made out of several things, namely, in no particular order: Dead Horse Bay sand and bird bones (probably seagull); dried out garlic bulb tops; Hudson River water chestnut; garden supply rocks; found paper; color photocopy of book cover for Vie et Aventures de Buffalo-Bill par Albert Bonneau; pre-made deep frame; old soba glue; feather (leftover from a red-tail hawk’s meal).
