A strange desire led me to the Donut Plant on Grand Street this morning. One coconut cream and one tres leches satisfied my jones. Returning, I passed the Lowe’s Canal Street Theatre entrance. Looking at this, you’d have no idea that an enormous movie palace is behind it. The interior was once "Spanish Baroque."
This is the neoclassical entrance to the Manhattan Bridge. In sepia, as I was playing with my camera’s “effects.”
E.L. Doctorow says that fogs in lower Manhattan make the city look like it did in the 19th Century.
In a field of grass. This is the “vivid” setting, so I suppose if the sun was out it would be more vivid.
