Nice day in the neighborhood

Have you noticed what an excellent spring for roses this is? The bush roses are erupting all over the streets.

Also, I'm nominating the block of Wycoff between Smith and Hoyt as the most interesting block in the neighborhood. I don't like the mod all-windows row house, with its ugly sheets of Gehry-esque silver, but there's a nice carriage house on the northside, with its second floor door to nowhere, and a wacky mosaic frontage on the southside that has the look of a crazed folk artist who hasn't left his basement room in many years, except for sticking on mosaic tiles to the front of his momma's house.
